O’Kesia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been creative. This is even the case in my corporate career.
For years, my best friend and I created magical events for family and friends. In 2020, I decided to take the leap of faith and start Key Lavish Events LLC. At that time, I had no idea how quickly the business would take off. I’m so thankful for every person who took a chance on me with their special occasion. I’ve been so blessed.
In 2021, I expanded my team as well as the services and products offered. We’re focusing on lavish events. We’re stepping outside the box with creativity and style. I consult with every client personally to ensure their expectations are exceeded.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This journey has been fun and exciting but, also a learning experience. I learned quickly that this isn’t a one-person show. I can’t do it all and pull off the productions I wanted to accomplish. My team is amazing and runs like a well-oiled machine!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Key Lavish Events LLC focuses on exclusive events with beautiful draping and balloon work. We utilize outstanding, trendy props to give that “WOW factor”. Our style is uniquely ours with premium linen, beautiful crystal candelabras, and whimsical curly willow sashes.
What sets us apart is the level of care and detail we provide. We understand that we’re not “just decorating”. We’re creating memories for someone that will last a lifetime. We’re a 5-star business because we engage with our clients in a personal way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve been extremely blessed with a successful business. I’ve built this company on hard work, integrity, genuine connections, and a love of what I’m doing. God continuously blesses us.
