Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Laster
Hi Michael, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Creativity has always played a major role in my life and it’s something that I hold deeply to my heart. As a kid art has always been apart of me considering how I grew up around an artsy hands on family. Around the age of 5 seeing people dress and seeing people create beautiful things spark my interest in fashion and that’s when I knew that my dreams were to create fashion and it’s stuck to me like glue since then. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been inspired by people like Pharrell Williams, Chris Brown, Tyler The Creator and many more creative powerful people. Seeing how artistic these individuals are makes me want to pursue my dreams even more so one day I can be just creative as those people. Now that I’m older I’m using my creativity skills and platforming myself on social media gaining fame living the dreams I’ve always wished to accomplish.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In todays society you can get criticized for anything you do and I suffered from it as I grew up; when life got difficult I didn’t let that stop me from following my dreams and goals and while going through life I realized that people will
discriminate you just by being yourself and I took that and turned it into a movement which is art.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a social media content creator in the fashion industry. I post about clothing tips, clothing styles, and most importantly how to be yourself when it comes to fashion. People know me best for posting outfits that I’ve came up with in my head and seeing how much feedback I get from those individuals pushes me to keep going. I’m most proud that I’m doing all of this at such a young age and I’m getting recognized only at 14. I think what sets me apart from others is how my mindset tends to change the more I discover things.
