Hi Lara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started LITTLE LALA in 2022 as a creative outlet and something of my own alongside being a mom. I began by selling at local markets, learning as I went and building my brand through pieces I genuinely love.
Since then, it’s grown into an online store and a customizable jewelry bar for events. Now, I’m focused on growing the business, building a community, and continuing to do what I love.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting out, I had to figure everything out on my own—from sourcing and pricing to setting up at markets—which came with a lot of trial and error. There have been slow sales days, self-doubt, and the challenge of balancing the business with being a mum.
But each challenge has helped me grow, and I’ve learned to stay consistent, adapt, and keep showing up even when it feels tough.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I run LITTLE LALA, a boutique focused on jewelry, accessories, and curated fashion pieces. I’m best known for my customizable jewelry bar, where people can create their own pieces.
I’m most proud of building it from scratch and growing a loyal community. What sets me apart is the personal touch—everything is chosen with intention and something I’d genuinely wear myself.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has played a part in small, unexpected ways—like meeting the right people at the right time or discovering opportunities I hadn’t planned for. But most of the progress in my business comes from hard work, persistence, and showing up consistently.
