Check Out Julia Griffith’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia Griffith

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I experienced profound loss with the tragic deaths of my brother and father. In my grief, I sought a way to keep their memories close to me, and jewelry came to mind. However, I couldn’t find anything online that matched my style, so I decided to create my own cremation jewelry. This process was eye-opening and inspired me to help others.

I began exploring the creation of breast milk jewelry. My best friend had been breastfeeding for almost a year, and I wanted to honor her dedication with a beautiful necklace made from her own breast milk. I developed a formula to preserve and dry breast milk, as well as other DNA materials.

My journey did not stop at breast milk and cremation keepsakes. Other request were made. Making rings with semen! A new twist on jewelry or should we say jizzy jewelry!

Seeing the joy that keepsake jewelry brought to people motivated me to continue. Today, two years later, I have an established LLC and have helped many women and men create meaningful keepsakes.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey to success was far from smooth. Shortly after starting this business, my family and I lost our home and had to live in our car. Despite these challenges, I remained dedicated to promoting and growing the business. I worked tirelessly to make the best of a difficult situation, keeping product availability limited due to our circumstances. This experience strengthened my resolve and faith in my business.

That challenging period was only a small hiccup in our lives. We have since established a studio for the business and relocated from Pennsylvania to Florida. Today, we are thriving more than ever.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have been working as an artist specializing in keepsake jewelry since February 2022. I work with various DNA materials, including breast milk, cremation ashes, semen, soil from graves, baby hair, flowers from special occasions, and more. Additionally, I custom paint eyes and transform them into beautiful necklaces.

I am proud of my perseverance through challenging times, continually introducing new jewelry designs while maintaining reasonable prices. My art, jewelry, and keepsakes hold special meaning beyond their aesthetic value. While anyone can make a ring with resin and molds, my business is distinct. I have developed a unique formula to preserve breast milk and semen, transforming them into powder that never molds, and I hand-paint loved ones’ eyes.

My determination and drive ensure that every piece is perfect. These keepsakes are more than just jewelry; they are heirlooms meant to be passed down through generations, making the quality of my work paramount.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I am at my happiest when I give a perfect keepsake and watch the smiles and happy tears come..
