Check Out Joy Jenkins Crum’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joy Jenkins Crum

Hi Joy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m an author, an educator, and an independent music artist! It all started during the pandemic, while in quarantine my family at the time were down to one income and I was receiving unemployment., I began my ministry as an independent gospel/inspirational artist and released my first single titled, Heal the Land. From that step of faith, I was nominated for multiple awards including winning the River Word Award. Since then I’ve released tow more singles, Love Song and Amen. I’ve had the honor to be interviewed on several radio platforms, which opened up the door for my music to go international! In addition to my music, I’m an educator at heart. I have a passion for educating and empowering children!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A path to greater things is never an easy road. Financial struggles, family crisis, emotional abuse, which can lead to mental and physical health problems were a factor. However, after the flame comes healing along with a renewed sense of purpose.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m currently a one year old Teacher at a private School. I feel like a second mom to them. I just love watching them grow and develop before my eyes. I’m known for my compassion and drive to educate and instill love into the children that come to my classroom. No matter what I go through in my personal life, I don’t allow that to funnel through my classroom.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a wild child. I was rebellious and as a result I became a teenage mother at 17. However, my first born daughter (31yrs) serves our country in the U>S> Navy and is current a Blue Angel!
