Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaydaleace Ramos (JayRoyal).
Hi Jaydaleace, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
It All Started In 2014. When I started my modeling career, as tomboyish as I was, I eventually grew out of my shell. The love of makeup began o grow on me as well. It wasn’t until my move to NY. In 2017, I truly understood my passion for makeup in this entertainment industry in New York from the cultures, art, talents, and colors. It’s all like a canvas. My first gig out of the state of NY ended up being in Connecticut for a known international magazine which was a pretty cool experience with the help of a new friend I made along the way; model Jude Flex helped me travel to my new first adventure.
Once we made it to Connecticut, I met so many amazing people and talents and learned a lot, so I put my talent to work. But did I know this gig landed me on something even bigger. It to a little a minute to build my clientele after making my big move from Jacksonville, FL. But I didn’t give up I pushed, promoted myself, etc. A month later emailed to do makeup in Brooklyn for my first IMBD movie, “KEYS! “ excited after never working on set before, I was ready with 23 actors plus more, I put my talent to work, and It was a success. For 6 months, I made a big impression that the producer told me the actors wanted to keep me or the rest of the set. So they hired me.
I even met 5 celebrities that day and met awesome people with talents. I couldn’t wait for the next adventure to endure. It was all happening so fast. I was finally doing something I love, from traveling, site seeing, catching trains, busses, ferries, boat rides, yachts, and the amazing food! It was an adventure. My talent grew within seconds, not literally, but you know what I mean. Lol, from doing makeup on myself to models, artists, photoshoots, movies, commercials, editorials, magazines, major runway fashion shows, and webinars. To even celebrities. I’ve learned so much along the way, especially with the business aspect of it all, which is the most important part if you want to grow in this type of business and entertainment industry. Learn and d your research network push hard, really hard accept any challenge that comes your way because It will not be easy, but it will be All Worth It to the end. With a natural-born talent for drawing and painting, I incorporated it into makeup, got more creative, and I Love It.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
A smooth road was a challenge, and you also learned who’s there for you and who isn’t. when it came to certain friends, family, and people I met along the way, you soon realized some people may be there for you and or may have their motive for you in their presence. I didn’t let that stop me, though. I even ended up homeless once, but being in New York definitely teaches you how to hustle, speak up, and go for what you want, and I did!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an internationally published plus-sized model actress but, most importantly, an internationally published makeup artist. I specialize in the arts of makeup in all aspects. I’m a creator; I’m an artist. Growth and everything I’ve overcome and achieved to where I am today is amazing and a blessing. What sets me apart from the rest is just being me. No one can be you; they can try to be you but can’t be you.
How do you define success?
Success being what others say, you’ll never be able to achieve what others doubt you on and say is impossible because in the end, you know it’s possible. Never be what others envision you to be. Success is you, and you are a success!
