Check Out Jatarra Warren’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jatarra Warren.

Hi Jatarra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2011, I joined the Army National Guard as an IT professional thus birthing my passion for technology, systems, and processes.

Soon after, I obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Systems, followed right behind a Master’s of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, and have spent the last 10+ years serving in various IT, Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance roles.

While advancing my professional career, I also served in various roles in ministry from advisory roles to the Pastor, Praise and Worship, event planning, strategic organization, program design, digital marketing, social media management, and many others.

In 2020, when really taking a look at my wide range of knowledge in business and technology coupled with my passion for solving problems and helping people thrive in their ministries, businesses, and life, I decided to expand my reach and serve others in my community with the same offerings, thus birthing MakeorBreak Consulting and Coaching, LLC and the Vision Decoder brand.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth.

I would say that the most challenging aspect of the journey so far has been balancing my family and work lives.

In 2020, I gave birth to my second child, thus making me a mother of 2 under 2. This definitely caused a delay in some of the goals that I had set along the way, but I have figured out creative ways to make it work.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am both a professional/employee and I also run a business called MakeOrBreak Consulting and Coaching, LLC.

Under the MakeOrBreak Consulting umbrella, I operate as The Vision Decoder. This brand was birthed because at the core of everything that I do is vision and helping entrepreneurs and ministry leaders to see, believe, and execute on their visions, dreams, ideas, and goals.

I specialize in strategic planning, business plan development, system and process development, and goal management. I also have experience with website development, social media management, and digital marketing. What sets me apart is the fact that I know a little about everything instead of a lot about just one thing, which means that I can assist others with a wide variety of areas.

Where I may not specialize I have built a network of resources so that I can become the first stop no matter what goal someone has. Then, unlike others who can only help with one area, I become a partner and permanent supporter that is there to help solve 1 problem at a time.

When we finish one thing, we can simply move on to the next.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest cheerleader is of course my husband, who has been my biggest support behind the scenes ensuring that the children are well-taken care of while I assist my clients.

I also have to give credit to Nicole Phillip, who is my business coaching and mentor. She was actually the one that helped me discover the Vision Decoder brand and helped me get started with my brand.

Lastly, I give credit to Dana Jackson who was my very first client and has also referred me to countless other clients and continues to support my business today.
