Jaryn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began making candles while on the hunt for clean, toxin free fragrances. I suffer from severe migraines and most typical candles are a trigger for me. Once I began making my own candles scented with toxin free and skin safe fragrance oils & clean soy wax ,which then led to gifting candles to my friends and family. The candles took off unexpectedly & I dove into creating a luxury candle and home fragrance line. I now offer three signature scents all named after my favorite place & where I call home, Amelia Island. Amelia Candle Company captures simple elegance & brings luxurious & clean home fragrance into your home.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Amelia Candle Company celebrated our one year of business anniversary in March of this year. There have been many learning curves & trials & errors along the way. Overall we are still a young business and thankful to be in five local retailers on Amelia Island. It has been astonishing the number of people who avoid burning typical candles or using typical home fragrance options. I think many people appreciate the thought and effort that goes into each handmade product. This is what I think has gotten Amelia Candle to where we are today!

Amelia Santal captures the essence of a luxury hotel lobby & crisp salt air with notes of sandalwood, cardamom, & iris.
Brazilian Bronze brings the beach into your home capturing amber, coconut, teakwood, sea salt, & warm musk.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I have always been very independent & headstrong. I am passionate about the things I care about the most. Through years of health issues, I have put lots of time, research, & dedication into helping others. This same dedication led me to creating a product line that actually served a purpose for those with typical migraine triggers.
