Today we’d like to introduce you to James Thomas.
Hi James, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well I have always been an entrepreneur from part owner in an impotence clinic to cleaning business to cardiac imaging business. I saw an echocardiogram being done when I had the impotence clinic and was facilitated by the technology and knew that’s what I wanted to do. So I worked the clinic during the day and school at night for two years until I graduated with a wife and two young children at home. Then I applied for a job at Baptist Beaches Hospital and got it and have been there for 25years. In 2017 started Pulse Imaging and I created a program that would help patients get their heart scan in the convenience of their own home at an affordable price. I am very passionate about treating all patients with respect, and compassion as I would my own family. Pulse Imaging is a veteran owned small business. Fast turnaround on results. Board certified Cardiologist reading the Echocardiogram’s and EKG’s.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not a smooth road I got turn down twice by GE to get my machine until I had a rep go to the higher ups for approval. The best choice I made was going self pay for my patients. Saved them and me a lot of hassle dealing with insurance.

I have work for Baptist Beaches Hospital for 25 years. I am a Registered Cardiac Sonographer. Business owner of Pulse Imaging for 8years. I am most proud of I did it all myself without help. No matter how many people tell you it’s not possible keep working because it is possible. A successful friend of mine told me if you want it go get it because it’s not gonna come to you. If your not happy where you are your not working hard enough.
