Check Out Giselle Tapia’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Giselle Tapia.

Hi Giselle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love and passion for music started at a very early age, I come from a very musical family so we always had instruments lying around the house. To my luck, my dad is a left-handed guitar player as am I, so I was able to pick his guitar up and practice. I fully embraced the guitar when I was 16 years old.

My family and I had just moved back to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I didn’t have a lot of friends at the time and music became my passion. From the moment I woke up, until the moment I went to sleep, I would spend hours learning guitar and listening to different types of music that would later influence my playing.

I moved to Jacksonville, Florida 6 years ago. From the start, I was blessed to find amazing musicians to play with. It didn’t take long before I started playing live.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although I’ve been very fortunate to move to a place with a great music scene, it has not been a smooth road in the sense that I have had to learn to overcome my insecurities as a person and as an artist.

Music has always helped me overcome any obstacles I’ve faced in life and continues to help me to step out of my comfort zone.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a freelance lead guitar player so I get to play with lots of different artists throughout Jacksonville.

Though I love getting to work with different bands, I’m very happy to say that I have also started focusing on singing and live looping on guitar as a solo artist, this has been very fun for me.

I plan on working and recording my original music in the near future.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I love working with different artists and expanding my network, I enjoy when other musicians reach out to me for collaborations and taking part in their projects.

People can stay in touch with me by following my Instagram account and reaching out to me!
