Check Out Garlyn DaSilva’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Garlyn DaSilva.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started TikTok around the time I was pregnant with my first son while serving in the United States Navy.

Then when my son was born my now husband and I decided to get married, and shortly after we got pregnant again, which left us with two babies under the age of one. I separated from the military so that I could be home and breastfeed my second child.

While being a stay-at-home mom, my journey on TikTok took off.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Postpartum depression and anxiety have led me to be an advocate for mothers seeking help and medicine if needed. My second son didn’t latch when he was born which led me to exclusively pump for about three months until he latched and now properly breastfeeds.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Being a young mom and wife I’ve definitely struggled with growing up all while raising a family and having my children grow up with me. The military was very mentally challenging but I’m grateful for its teachings.
