Check Out Eden Kendall’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eden Kendall.

Hi Eden, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Eden Kendall. I’m a television host on River City Live on Channel 4, a country music dj on 99.9 Gator Country, a podcast host, and an avid runner!

I clearly remember my first cassette recorder—if you had one, you’ll remember pressing play and record at the same time, and using scotch tape to fix tapes after the tabs were removed. My friends and I spent hours recording skits, and I often kept the radio on, ready to catch my favorite songs and write down the lyrics. Later, at the University of Florida, I got the chance to host the morning show on the college radio station. The path from being a music-loving kid to becoming a radio host and then moving into television has had its ups and downs. But through it all, I’ve been lucky to do what I love: hyping people up, telling their stories, and celebrating their successes.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Once upon a time, most radio stations included only one woman in their on-air lineup. She was often the morning show sidekick or the “midday gal.” Breaking into the industry took grit—radio was definitely a male-dominated business with limited opportunities for women. I’m fortunate to have not only entered but thrived in it.

Fast forward to television—my role isn’t covering hard news, but hosting a lifestyle and entertainment show. While I hope that personality, curiosity, and good conversation make for engaging TV, it would be disingenuous to say I don’t feel some anxiety about my appearance. Time moves forward, and society hasn’t always been kind to women showing the signs of aging. I don’t feel pressure from my workplace, but growing older and staying current with trends is work. It’s a kind of work I’m happy to do—not to “act younger” or “cling to youth”—but to stay relevant and continue growing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m fortunate to have built a career in media—starting from radio and moving into television—where my passion has always been about uplifting others, sharing their stories, and celebrating their successes. Today, I’m especially proud to host “Uncluttered and Unfiltered,” a podcast created for women over 50. UU is cohosted by professional organizer Christine Stone, and we cover a wide range of topics that matter to women in this often-overlooked age group—from navigating menopause, age-appropriate fashion, and anti-aging beauty tips to embracing the empty nest and even discussing sex after 50. We’ve built a supportive community where nothing is off-limits, and practical advice meets genuine, unfiltered conversations.

What does success mean to you?
To me, success is forward momentum at ANY pace. I’m a runner. Sometimes, I am able to place or even win in my age group. Sometimes I’m not even close. But success to me isn’t being on a podium. It’s not even finishing the race. It’s showing up at the starting line.
