Check Out Ashley Ware Flowe’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Ware Flowe.

Hi Ashley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for food. Ever since I was a little girl I knew deep down I would end up sharing that passion with others. I grew up mostly in the south where cooking is a love language. My family loves to host a good party and the delicious food is always center stage. I took that passion and attended culinary school in Charlotte, NC at Johnson & Wales University. Now at the time, my main goal was to be a rock star in the kitchen, and I was. I was working in restaurants, hotels, and cafes.

Late nights, early mornings living my dream and getting better and being recognized for my skills. I never thought about falling in love, starting a family, and being a mom. All those things happened in a blink of an eye, and I quickly realized that it would be hard balancing those things. After taking time away from the food industry after having my youngest baby, I decided it was time to get back out there and rediscover my passion. Charcuterie Eats was born from that passion in the fall of 2021.

I found that I could mix my love for food, family, and entertaining in making charcuterie boards and boxes for people to share. Eating charcuterie is a whole experience, mixing different flavors, trying out new foods, and enjoying the people around you while exploring a variety of ingredients is what makes it so memorable.

This is my love language creating custom crave-able creations for people to gather and share in something that is unique and exciting with every bite.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road, what’s a smooth road! I struggled with reigniting that passion after becoming a mom. So much of my brain was occupied with figuring out how to raise kids.

For many years, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, which was hard because I’ve always known from a young age what I wanted, how to get there, and how to work hard to succeed. In the back of my mind, I knew that I wanted to do something dealing with food, but I was a mom of 2 young children, and going back into the restaurant scene was not an option.

Most of my struggles came from me and my mindset and I knew I had to get that in order and everything else would come.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Well, my full-time job is being a mom right now to 2 boys 5 and 10 so my hands are pretty full as you could imagine.

I am also continuing to grow my small business creating boards, boxes, and grazing tables here in Jacksonville and through social media. I’m very proud of the fact that I’ve found a way to do what I love and share that with others, and in the process rediscover the passion I had for food and entertainment that never really went away.

Ashley is so talented. I had the pleasure of working with her in food service and she always kept the highest standards of cleanliness. This concept is great for meetings with the individual boxes. Excited to see your success.
