Check Out Alyssa Ciaccio’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Ciaccio.

Hi Alyssa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been connected to the spirit world. I remember at a very young age having people who passed come to me in dreams and tell me things I shouldn’t have known. Growing up Catholic, this was not something my family leaned into so I learned to keep it to myself. It wasn’t until my father, stepfather, and father-in-law all passed within the span of about 6 months that I realized how helpful this gift could be. You see, in my grief, the one thing that really kept me at peace was when these men would visit me in dreams or meditations. And it made me realize that if this was helping my in my personal grief process, perhaps it could help other people as well.

Once I made that decision doors opened up for me. I found my mentor, a Lily Dale medium taught by the best, who took me under his wing and trained me for four years. In fact, he was the one who told me I was ready to do this full time.

But like any normal person who worked a full time job, had steady income, health insurance, retirement, and pension…. I was hesitant to leave it all behind. It wasn’t his insistence that coerced me to leave my job teaching, but the fact that I was getting completely burnt out. It was getting to the point where I was coming home crying 3 out of the 5 days each week.

My sweet husband was the one who finally told me to just quit. He could see how miserable I was, and how scared I was to make that jump. I don’t think I would have done it if I didn’t have his support. Knowing he would back me up, I did it. I jumped.

It was a whirlwind from there. Picking the pieces of myself up and putting it all back together. Learning how market, utilize social media, network… not to mention uncovering more about myself as I traversed this path. I really learned how to trust that the universe had my back. That no matter what happened, me (and my family) would be taken care of.

More than anything, I started finding my own joy again. I absolutely love what I do. I love being able to be present for others and support them through their trying times. I love to remind them that their loved ones, though not physically here, are still energetically present with them. That the connection of love between two people never truly dies.

My husband especially loves that I’m not crying all the time anymore!

At the moment I am expanding my practice. Mediumship is such a wonderful tool to help people heal, but I felt there was more I could do for my clients. Although I am a certified Reiki Master, I am also finishing my certification in Emotion Code to help clients release trapped emotions to help their body in the emotional healing process.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Going from two incomes to one was a struggle. We really had to pull back on our spending and readjust how we did things. My husband and I had gone through a period of our lives together where we were dirt poor. Like, the lights would get turned off poor. Like, I wouldn’t eat so the kids could eat poor. So, I had a lot of fear about how this decision would affect our family. But as I leaned into trusting that things would be ok, that we would be taken care of, the universe truly did provide for us. Opportunities presented themselves at the moments we needed it the most. And as I continued on this journey, I started to feel more secure in the choice we made.

Another struggle was learning to put myself out there. Believe it or not, I’ve always been a pretty “internal” person, so networking, marketing, and social media were difficult. I’ve definitely never been a sales-person, so I didn’t have the skills I needed to sell myself. And I’ll be honest I am still working on building my confidence and really learning how to take up space. I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come because I’m getting more comfortable with genuinely connecting with others. I try to think of this part of my business more about “making new friends” than “getting new clients”.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a psychic medium and energy healer. My work is centered around helping people reconnect with their loved ones in the spirit world so they can truly feel and understand that consciousness continues after death, and that their people are still with them in a very real way.

I practice with intention, integrity, and a deep respect for this work. I also bring a grounded, down-to-earth approach to everything I do, because I believe this work should feel accessible to everyone, regardless of where you are in your beliefs or your journey. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what to expect. You just need to show up, and I’ll meet you there.

Alongside mediumship, I specialize in energy healing. To me, the two go hand in hand. Mediumship brings through connection and validation, while energy work helps people process, release, and move forward. It adds that extra layer of support for those walking through grief or emotional heaviness.

One thing that really sets me apart is the energy inside my sessions. There’s a lot of joy and a lot of laughter. People often comment on how much they can hear it through the door. That’s because I don’t just focus on the loss, but on the relationship. I love helping people reconnect with the memories they shared with their loved ones. Death is just the last sentence in the story of a person’s life, but grief can make us forget everything that came before it. My work is about bringing those moments back to life in a way that feels healing.

I’m always learning, growing, and refining my practice so I can show up as the best possible practitioner for my clients. But more than anything, I’m proud of the connections I build. It’s incredibly important to me that every person who sits with me feels seen, heard, and emotionally safe. That is the foundation of everything I do.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Honestly, this journey has taught me so much. It’s challenged me in ways I never expected and helped me grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I truly don’t feel like the same person I was two years ago.

I’ve learned to trust more. I’ve learned to be active instead of reactive. I’ve learned to connect with and love myself more deeply, so I can show up and do the same for others. I really believe this path has a way of bringing you face to face with your own “stuff,” and I think that’s the point. Because the more you do that work on yourself, the more present and aware you can be for the people who sit with you.

I’m so grateful for every bump in the road that got me here. For every lesson I had to learn the hard way. Those experiences didn’t just shape me, they made me a better practitioner. They’re the reason I can meet people where they are with empathy, understanding, and a whole lot of heart.
