Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Sanders.
Hi Alexandra, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I became an ordained minister while living in New York City around 2015. I had always thought about marrying couples, but I wasn’t sure I had the courage to actually take the step. However, when COVID hit, I found myself reflecting on the idea much more seriously. That’s when a high school friend reached out and asked if I would marry her and her fiancé. Initially, I hesitated, unsure of myself, but when I checked in months later, I learned they still hadn’t found someone. Two months before the wedding, I cautiously agreed.
Fast forward a few years, and now I’ve been in business for a while, based out of Jacksonville, marrying incredible couples across the state. It’s been a wonderful balance to my full-time job as a commercial banking sales strategist, adding romance and whimsy to my life that I wouldn’t get otherwise. I truly love this business and the couples I get to meet along the way.
Recently, I’ve also welcomed a new minister, Jasmine, to the Love Knot team. She brings a fresh perspective to our work, especially with her expertise in health and wellness, which helps couples navigate the stress of wedding planning. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m so grateful for how far we’ve come.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a non-denominational wedding minister, I specialize in creating deeply meaningful, inclusive ceremonies that celebrate love in all its forms. I am passionate about marrying couples from all backgrounds, and my approach is centered on equality, diversity, and inclusion. Whether it’s an LGBTQ2+ wedding or a fusion ceremony blending multiple cultures and religions, I believe in honoring the unique love story of every couple. What sets me apart is my commitment to creating personalized ceremonies that reflect each couple’s journey, while ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background or identity, feels welcome and valued.
I am particularly proud of being a woman-owned business, which allows me to bring a unique perspective and empowerment to my work. It’s an honor to be part of such an important moment in people’s lives, and I feel privileged to offer a space where love—without limitations—can thrive.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
For me, kindness is at the core of everything I do, both in my business and personal life. I believe that in a world where everyone is facing challenges—whether big or small—being compassionate and considerate can make all the difference. That’s why I’ve always tried to promote a kindness campaign, encouraging not just myself but others to prioritize empathy and thoughtfulness in their interactions. Surrounding yourself with good, self-aware people who actively put kindness into the world is essential for building a positive environment, and it’s something I work to foster every day. It’s the small acts of kindness that create meaningful change, and I’m proud to support that mindset.
