Check Out Adrienne “Foxx” Tolbert’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne “Foxx” Tolbert.

Hi Adrienne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well, it all started in a little town… Just kidding.

I’ve been creating since 2015. I originally wanted to design clothes and I was like “Let me figure out how to draw the human form…” but drawing is still a weak area for me. Haha, so I quit and found out that I like paints way more! But it’s been a journey! I was painting, then I started wrapping crystals in copper.

Now I facilitate intuitive paint sessions and I’m getting into body painting which has been really dope. I still paint, but I don’t show half of the things I’ve started. I even tried clay sculpting for a few weeks. I honestly just love creating and want to figure out all the ways I can incorporate that into my life and not be a “starving artist”.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For me, I would say that my struggle has been that of most artists in their early days.

Finding their style, not comparing themselves to other artists, then finding their style again and developing that. And money! Things are getting more expensive here so hopes of a studio have been pushed back.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I call myself a creative! I mean I am walking art. I’m known for my green hair nowadays I think lol. But seriously, I paint, I make jewelry at times.

I think people know me for those things, I’m not sure. I’m most proud of my Intuitive art sessions. They’re a service, the sessions allow people to ground themselves, relax, create freely, and get in touch with that inner child.

I get to be myself, share what I learn, and curate a memorable space.

What do you think about luck?
So… I’m into astrology right, so luck will always be on my side.

But I don’t think it’s just luck. I believe it’s alignment. Things happen when and how they’re supposed to. I mean even me doing this interview.

I’ve had a rough couple of months, this came after I’d decided to do what’s best for me. But it wasn’t only this interview it was just opportunity after opportunity. Divine timing I would say.

Listen this is why D.A.M Duval Art Mixer was created! A platform to allow artist to occupy the lifestyle of being artist holistically! Create, showcase, sell, network & to constantly evolve through ART!

Show the world the dopeness you create from simply thinking! It’s a super power and I’m proud to see Adrienne Tolbert flexing hers!
