We recently had the chance to connect with Sarah Depasquale and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Sarah, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
So many things are misunderstood about bartending in general and with mobile bartending it’s no different. People often see our the trailer, the cute setup, and the fun cocktails and think, “Oh, this is the party!” — and while we do bring the fun, we also take our role really seriously. We’re a licensed and insured bartending team, and part of our job is making sure everyone has a great time safely.
That means watching for signs that someone’s had enough, cutting off when needed, checking IDs, and working closely with event planners and hosts to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s not just about pouring drinks — it’s about reading the room and protecting the vibe of the night. Responsible service is just as important to us as a perfect pour.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi!! My name is Sarah DePasquale and I am the owner of Divine Spirits Bartending & The Unbridled Bars, a mobile bartending company here in Jacksonville Fl. We specialize in luxury bar experiences for weddings, parties, and private events. We were the first “rig” based mobile bar in north Florida when we debuted our Unbridled Bar in 2019, added a second Unbridled Bar in 2020 and have been rolling ever since.
Aside from the fact that we were the first mobile bar in North Florida (and have the awards to prove it!), I think what really sets us apart is the level of care we put into every detail. It’s not just about pouring drinks — it’s about creating a vibe. We love helping our clients incorporate personal touches into their bar setup, whether that’s custom cocktails, photos of their pets, or signature glassware. Every event should feel like
It all started when I wanted to take control of my own schedule after years of working behind someone else’s bar. I knew how much a well-run bar could elevate an event and there was a lack in companies doing it in Jacksonville. I wanted to bring a fun, polished, and completely customized bar experience to people — without the stress. I’ve always loved hosting and creating memorable moments, and this business has been such a natural extension of that.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband. Plain and simple. He has been my biggest cheerleader and supporter through it all. He believed (and still does) in me when I don’t. He saw my potential helped me figure things out along they way. There was a ton I had to learn when I started from website development to CRM management to book keeping and all the things in between. He not only helped me but also worked right along side me to make this business successful
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
DO THE SCARY STUFF. Step out of your comfort zone and just do the things you have always thought about. Don’t let your self doubt and inner voice get louder than your dreams. Always be willing to learn and keep an open mind.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
One hundred percent. Life’s too short to pretend to be someone you’re not , especially in business. The way I show up on social media, at events, or behind the bar is the same way I am at home or catching up with a friend. Hospitality isn’t just part of my job; it’s a huge part of who I am. This business reflects my personality, my values, and the way I love taking care of people. What you see really is what you get.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What false labels are you still carrying?
I hate that this is still a thing in 2025, but I still hear comments like, “Is this your real job?” or “What a fun little side hustle!” It’s honestly surprising to some people that I run this full-time, employ a team, and make a living doing something I built from the ground up.
I think part of it is that people still have a hard time seeing success outside of the traditional 9-to-5 , especially when it’s a woman at the helm of something creative or service-based. There’s this lingering idea that vendor work, hospitality, or anything not corporate is just a phase or a passion project. But this is absolutely my real job. It takes strategy, leadership, long hours, and a ton of heart. And yes — it’s a business, not a hobby.
