Rising Stars: Meet Daniel Wieland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Wieland.

Hi Daniel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began my career in real estate in 2016 and began working for a home builder in Palm Coast, FL. I worked there up until recently so I have extensive experience in green homes, new construction, energy efficiency and vacant land purchases. I recently decided to join the team with Take Action Properties in Palm Coast FL but my focus will primarily be on Saint Augustine and Saint Johns County. I am very excited about this next part of my career in real estate! I am so happy to help a wider range of customers with a larger variety of homes.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Real estate can be a stressful career with long hours and a large to-do list. I have learned so much in the past few years and I know it has and will continue to make me a stronger realtor and real estate specialist for my customers. Some struggles I have had recently are coping with the way the housing market has changed since COVID. There is not enough inventory and the prices are high and combined with the fact that new home construction is seeing delays due to material and labor shortages it can make for a stressful combination but I know it will not be this way forever and eventually, things should even out.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a REALTOR since 2016 and I really think what sets me apart from others in my field is that I do not approach real estate from a “sales” perspective. I approach it from a customer service-oriented point of view and my main goal is to HELP my customer to find the best home to meet their needs and budget or to guide them in the sale of their existing home to make sure they get the best price for all the work and money they have invested in it. In the end, I know if my customers are happy then my business will succeed and I would never advise anyone to make a decision that I felt was not in their best interest.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
My Favorite thing about Saint Augustine is that you can do so much here and it still has a small town vibe. there are some tourists but overall it is a quiet place to live and we have so many great restaurants and bars, several theaters, and venues for amazing shows, museums, sailing, boating, and beaches. It is the perfect place to live.
