Meet Lil Cee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lil Cee.

Hi Lil, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My parents were really into music. Three kids, I’m in the middle. We all were into music early. We all played an instrument in middle school. I played alto sax and drums. My brother played sax. And my sister played clarinet and flute, I think… I met a lot of ppl doing music and always stayed around ppl in the multimedia world and also lots of late nights in the studio. I always knew I wanted to be a music producer. I just never knew how I would get there. I feel like I’ve always been creative. Social media has helped me expand my creativity and sense of humor. Just staying consistent and always grinding is pretty much how I got here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had everything but a smooth road. I think some of the biggest struggles were deciding whether to keep going or not and probably most of the struggles that come along with music. Being told “No”, or “Not right now” is hard to deal with too.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work on being a music producer daily. I’m also a music engineer for recording artists. I have experience in still photography and live videos. I’ve edited it in photoshop. I also can create content (memes, videos, voiceovers) for social media sites. It just pretty much stayed anything media. I really like producing music. That’s my passion, it’s what I love. Outside of basketball, lol. I think that my beats are versatile and sound different. That’s what sets mine apart from the rest.

Any big plans?
I have big plans for the future. I want to produce for major lanes and major label artists. I definitely want to help create lanes for up-and-coming artists. Possibly starting a record label and building a recording studio might be something to work towards also in the future. My main focus is producing music.
