Hi Ronnie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all began when I was a child going with my family to fish stores, and I developed a deep passion for fish from that moment on. I started by selling fish at a flea market, then moved on to selling them from my small old barn. From there, my business grew steadily. We moved to a storefront on Dunn Avenue that operated for nearly six years, and a year ago, we opened our second location. Our business continues to expand rapidly.
We have recently expanded our services to include full aquarium maintenance and installation. Our goal is to establish our business as a household name across the United States. We ship our fish nationwide, taking great pride in providing these beloved pets to homes across the country. We believe in not only selling fish but also in creating better homes for them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Retail hasn’t always been a smooth journey. The biggest challenge, in my opinion, is building a good team. Unlike traditional box stores, we can’t rely solely on employees to handle checkout only. Our employees must have a genuine passion for the industry and extensive knowledge. We’re not just taking payments or stocking shelves; we’re ensuring the safety of our fish and providing customers with the best possible shopping experience. Fortunately, over the years, we’ve really built a solid team, and I’ve been able to provide the best possible service we can to our customers. I have people that have been working here for years, and we’re just like a family at this point, but we’re always constantly adding new people to our team too just to continue to add more value.

We have everything an aquatic enthusiast could possibly need, and we’re always expanding our product range. We receive shipments of fish, supplies, plants, and other items every week, and we quarantine every live creature to ensure the highest quality standards. We’re committed to providing our customers with the security and quality they deserve, as well as employees that are able to educate them on the proper care and requirements for each animal that they’re buying from us.. We’re constantly adding to our building and expanding our services, and we’re proud to offer nationwide fish shipping with local deliveries throughout Jacksonville and south Georgia.
