Hidden Gems: Meet The Andrade Family of Golden Creek Ranch LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Andrade family.

Hi Andrade family, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Golden Creek Ranch started as a small but modest cattle operation, focusing on Angus breeds suited to Florida’s sandy soils. Over the years, we saw the value in opening our doors to share the daily rhythms of ranch life, turning it into an agritourism hub.

Florida’s agritourism laws played a key role, allowing us to host visitors while maintaining our ranching core. This balance helps preserve small-scale operations in Putnam County, where zoning supports activities like tours and events as long as they connect to agriculture.

Our evolution reflects a practical approach: adapting to weather patterns—like mild winters for outdoor activities—and emphasizing sustainability to keep the ranch thriving for future generations.

We provide a range of experiences designed for different interests, all grounded in our working ranch setting.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Life on the ranch is rarely a straight line. We’ve weathered everything under the sun: the chaos of cattle breaking loose in a downpour and the quiet satisfaction of a day spent in the garden. From the first light of dawn to the final ranch chores of the night.

As a family-run business, we wear many hats and are constantly learning. Navigating laws, finances, permits, and contracts — while also building things with our own hands — hasn’t been easy. It’s been a long journey of trial and error, learning from mistakes, and understanding what’s possible. Through it all, we’re reminded that this life is defined by both its highs and its lows.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What does success mean to you?
We truly believe nature is a kind of vitamin that our minds and bodies crave. For us, success means being able to share this way of life with others and hopefully inspire people to spend more time in nature.

We want to encourage others to learn about farming and ranching and to see that life can be more than concrete walls and pavement. We love this lifestyle, and being able to share it with many people is what success looks like to us.
