Hidden Gems: Meet Letisha Bereola of Paradigm Media Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Letisha Bereola.

Hi Letisha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my career in TV news in college where I anchored and reported for our live broadcast and from there I landed my first TV job as a reporter in Tallahassee, Florida in 2011. Since then, I’ve worked in Mobile, Alabama, and here in Jacksonville for the last 7 years.

The last several years, I was a morning anchor on Action News Jax. I’ve had a lot of success in the news industry including winning the “Best Anchor” award from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists and the local Ken Knight Award for my work covering the African American community, both awarded in 2021.

In 2020, I started to feel the call to start a new chapter as a life + career coach. I’d always loved coaching people and helping them get from where they are to where they want to be but in 2020 I finally started to believe I could reinvent my career and become an entrepreneur. While I was still working at Action News Jax, I hired a coach and enrolled in life coaching certification, and took a leap of faith to start my own business on October 1, 2021.

It’s been the joy of my life developing my business and helping people reach their true potential.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I had to work really hard on first believing I could have success outside of my news career before I could make any moves. What I truly wanted was on the other side of fear and I had to confront that before I could make the leap.

When you’ve done something for so long it can feel like a huge part of your identity so even the thought of letting it go can be terribly scary. Working with a coach helped me with this! Working with her reinforced my desire to help women do the exact same thing. I love being coached and coaching. There’s nothing in the world like it!

I’d also say, I suffered from burnout the last couple of years working in TV news. I was exhausted beyond measure and felt more and more disconnected from my work. I really wanted out but it felt nearly impossible because I was just so tired. It took all my mental, physical and spiritual strength to move out of my comfort zone–and it was so worth it!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Paradigm Media Group?
Paradigm Media Group is where my coaching and media businesses are housed. I specialize in helping women revive their careers with purpose and a plan and as a media personality coaching audiences to go after what they really want out of life. Right now, I work 1:1 with clients, host workshops, produce my podcast AUDACITY and I’m a contributor with TheGrio, a digital platform geared toward African Americans, as a Life + Career coach.

I’m known for helping people see all the possibilities for their life and helping them believe if they can dream it they can achieve it. I help them develop a real-life tangible plan to make it happen. My faith sets me apart from others. I openly talk about my relationship and faith in God because I believe he’s given each of us a purpose and a mission in life, it’s just up to us to pursue it and Him.

I’m most proud of the results I’ve helped my clients create! They’ve landed new jobs, got promotions, and drastically improved their work-life after working with me. If you’re burned out from your work and looking to start a fresh new chapter career-wise you should look into working with a coach. See if I’m a good fit at coachtish.co.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in things happening by chance. I think our actions create results and I believe in divine intervention.  I actually think my life is a combination of the two. I walk by faith and take action towards where I think I’m being led and God always meets me where I am and takes whatever I’m working on to higher heights. My life is not by chance, it’s purposeful. Nothing about me surprises God and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
