Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Butler.
Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
So well just a little bit about me and how I got started. As a 22-year-old Jacksonville Native The Daughter of Rhodesia Butler & NFL hall of Famer Leroy Butler; I consider myself an all-around creative & content creator. I am a dancer/ choreographer. I started college at 17. At the same time, I have been dancing since age 3 and choreographing since the age of 16. I love the freedom & use of the self-expression that dance gives us and helping others cultivate their talents through dance as well I work with dance teams, Dancers for live performances, music videos, and more. Now, when it comes to my second passion the media. I am a content creator specializing in branding, marketing & photography for brands across the state. I am always looking to grow, learn and progress in each element of my creative being. I aspire to one day to work with some of the top companies & artists across the world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
I have had struggles in the area of the arts; nothing was or is a smooth road. I’ve learned to look at bumps in the road as a way to elevate myself & my craft to a higher level. For example, when first starting photography, I struggled to find what equipment would give me the quality I was looking for. I didn’t know where I’d “fit “as a photographer. I’ve learned with dedication and determination; we can do anything we put our minds to. Also, God sending the right people in my life to lead me, teach me, and genuinely help me grow in this industry has not only given me more confidence but has inspired me tremendously to be who I am in all aspects and not to put myself in a box but create the box.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I want to say I’m an overall creative! A one-stop shop is my brand. As some may say, I offer Creative Direction, Choreography, Graphic Design & Photography. I enjoy creating content for myself and others. One thing I love the most is that I can help others learn to do the same. In photography, for example, I’m known for creating fun, having creative setups and working with all. One thing that’s important, you must make them feel comfortable, beautiful and enjoy each moment in every session……even if they aren’t a professional model. Photos capture memories & moments that will never forget in life, so I like to have fun and take the risk. There’s one thing that I’m most proud is my Christmas Sessions; I’ll be going into my 3rd year with my partner, DB. We offer this holiday service, to allow everyone to create memories with their loved ones as a family. In the past, we we’ve had photo sessions with over 200 families by creating memories for them. Nothing compares to the joy, laughter, and love we have received by offering this holiday service. I appreciate anyone who has patronized us thus far; I have some new fun things in store for this year.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Being in the business where I create memories, I’ve learned that with a global pandemic such as covid, it is important to cherish life and the moments we have as we never know when all we will have left are those memories.
