Check Out Cathy Jenkins’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cathy Jenkins.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After going through a divorce and being a stay at home mom I decided to follow my dream and open a boutique. I was always obsessed with fashion, even as a young woman; I always loved boutique shopping. A’propos was founded in 2008 and 17 years later we are still in business and helping women with their fashion needs. We pride ourselves on being personal stylist for our clients and curate a beautiful collection of everything from denim to cocktail attire.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Opening year was the stock market crash but I couldn’t go anywhere but up. Also, the Sawgrass Village has undergone construction for several years which didn’t help business. The worst year was Covid but with the help of loyal customers we persevered and are still going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We import several lines from Italy which are exclusive to our store and in addition we have great choices for our hot and humid climate . Our business is more than a boutique we also support women going through challenges in life and try to be a community partner.

How do you think about happiness?
Love my family and living in this beautiful place. I feel blessed beyond measure to be able to do what I love every day and have so many supportive customers and friends.
