Today we’d like to introduce you to Atahana Wyman.
Hi Atahana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in an unsafe environment with very few protective forces in my life. From a young age, I developed a heightened emotional sensitivity—I could read people deeply, intuiting their fears, motivations, and potentials just by observing how they moved through the world. This hypervigilance, born from trauma, eventually revealed itself as one of my greatest gifts.
Music was my first connection to Spirit. I would spend hours at the piano or singing, letting each note vibrate through my body. Sound became my sanctuary, and much of my adolescence was spent escaping into the soul of music.
At age 15, I began struggling to cope with overwhelming emotions while my spiritual gifts were simultaneously opening at full force. I didn’t have the language to describe what I was experiencing, and those around me didn’t understand. Over the next decade, I was given multiple psychiatric diagnoses—bipolar II, schizophrenia, generalized anxiety disorder, ADHD, and later PTSD. I was hospitalized twice for psychotic breaks, including one involuntary Baker Act admission after a suicide attempt. By 18, I had been prescribed over 20 different medications, each one dulling my connection to Spirit even further.
I was told I was broken. That I would need to be medicated for life. That going off my meds meant losing my freedom. I believed this narrative. And because I did, I attracted difficult lessons that taught me what happens when we forget who we truly are.
But everything began to shift when I sought help for my anxiety—not for me, but for my children. I didn’t want my pain to become theirs. I went to a hypnotherapist, and during the intake, she asked a simple question after hearing my diagnoses: “And who told you that?” It was like a lightning bolt. For the first time, I questioned whether those labels were true. What if I had simply internalized someone else’s definition of me?
That moment changed everything. I began weaning off all psychiatric medications and stopped identifying with any diagnosis. At 28, I was reclaiming my life.
A year later, my 10-year marriage ended. The heartbreak shattered me again—but this time, I was ready to meet myself in the rubble. I had already earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and soon after the divorce, I returned to school to pursue a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. I knew I wanted to help people with mental health challenges—but not through traditional talk therapy or pharmaceuticals. OT gave me the tools to work holistically, with a focus on function, independence, and quality of life.
During this time, I met someone who reawakened my capacity for love and reminded me that I was safe to explore who I really was. I found breathwork. I met Sheila. I sat with ayahuasca. I immersed myself in tantric community, where I finally learned boundaries, communication, and true safety. In breathwork, I remembered who I am. My light language returned. I could see energy again. I could move it. Transmute it. Breathe it into new form.
Sheila and I became soul sisters. We trained in breathwork facilitation together and began dreaming of the work we would someday offer. From the beginning, our vision was clear: to create a space for young people who don’t fit into society’s boxes—to see them not as disordered, but gifted. Sheila’s passion is helping young adults on the autism spectrum build social wellness. Mine has always been helping teens and young adults struggling with mental health find healing beyond diagnoses and medication.
We stayed devoted to our spiritual work, knowing we were being prepared for something greater. Then in 2021, my second husband passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. Once again, I was cracked open. But this time, I surrendered to the grief. I didn’t fight the descent. I breathed. I cried. I listened. And in that stillness, his soul spoke to me. That year taught me the sacredness of grief. It forged a relationship with death that continues to guide my life.
A year later, I began facilitating breathwork groups again with Sheila. Our shared vision started to take shape. One of our clients, a retired Pfizer marketing director, believed in our mission and offered to support us. He wanted to help bring the Energy Enhancement System into our work with youth. We partnered with him and opened our center on May 22, 2023, as Essential Energy Spa and Mystical Center.
That first year was full of growth—and challenge. Ultimately, our partner chose to step away, and with grace, we parted ways. Sheila and I rebranded the center as EneRay Temple of Healing—the true beginning of our sacred mission.
EneRay is about helping people rediscover their inner ray of light. It’s the community we never had growing up—an ecosystem of healers, facilitators, and visionaries dedicated to collective transformation. Through workshops, events, and ongoing spiritual practice, we offer safe, sacred spaces for people to heal, grow, and share their gifts with the world.
With integrity, consistency, and a systems-based approach to wellness, we walk with others into the depths—into the darkness where they can finally rest, remember, and return to who they truly are.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I grew up in an unsafe environment and learned to read people as a survival skill. As a teen, I experienced intense emotional and spiritual awakenings that were misdiagnosed as mental illness. I was hospitalized, medicated, and told I’d be dependent on pharmaceuticals for life. For years, I believed I was broken. But becoming a mother made me question everything. A single question from a hypnotherapist—“And who told you that?”—sparked a turning point. I reclaimed my story, weaned off meds, and began walking the path of true healing.
I earned a Master’s in Occupational Therapy and began exploring breathwork, tantra, and plant medicine. When my second husband died suddenly in 2021, grief became my teacher. That loss cracked me open in a way nothing else could. Through it all, breathwork has been my anchor and medicine. It led me to co-create EneRay Temple of Healing, where I now hold space for others to heal, especially those labeled “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “too different.”
We’ve been impressed with EneRay Temple of Healing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
EneRay Temple of Healing is a high-vibrational sanctuary powered by the Energy Enhancement System (EESystem), where deep healing, transformation, and community connection unfold. Our center combines advanced scalar wave technology with heart-led holistic practices to support healing on every level—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
The EESystem creates a deeply regenerative energetic field designed to bring the body into a state of coherence and cellular repair. Within this powerful environment, we offer breathwork, sound healing, guided meditation, nervous system reset sessions, and transformational workshops—all amplified by the scalar-infused field.
What sets us apart is our integration of cutting-edge energy technology with ancient healing wisdom in a space that feels safe, sacred, and deeply intentional. We specialize in helping people who feel “different” or disconnected—including young people on the autism spectrum and those struggling with mental health—find their way back to themselves.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all healing—we create spaces where people feel safe to be seen, held, and transformed. Our team is a collaborative network of healers, teachers, and space-holders who walk the path of healing together, not from a pedestal.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud of the energy people feel when they walk through our doors—like they’ve come home. EneRay is about remembering who you are beneath the labels, diagnoses, and life experiences. It’s about returning to your center and finding your spark again.
We want your readers to know: You’re not broken. You’re becoming. And we’re here to walk that journey with you.
Any big plans?
Looking ahead, our heart and focus are shifting more intentionally toward supporting families navigating autism. At EneRay Temple of Healing, we’ve seen how energetically attuned and gifted many individuals on the spectrum truly are. Our mission is to create holistic, empowering programs that go beyond labels—offering safe, sacred spaces where neurodiverse individuals and their families can thrive.
One of the initiatives we’re most excited about is the Legit Angel Tribe—a weekly gathering for young, high-functioning adults on the autism spectrum. This transformative group provides a supportive and inclusive environment to explore spirituality, build self-awareness, and cultivate meaningful connections. Through guided activities and open dialogue, participants strengthen social wellness, form lasting friendships, and celebrate their personal growth in a space where they are truly seen and valued.
We’re also developing immersive healing retreats that include overnight stays in the EESystem, caregiver education, and structured opportunities for deep connection and regulation. Our vision is to support the whole family—emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.
Big changes are on the horizon, and we’re honored to walk alongside these incredible individuals and their families as they reclaim their light and find their community.
