Today we’d like to introduce you to Zura Moonleaf.
Hi Zura, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been drawn to movement and self-expression, which led me to explore modeling in 2016. As a freelance model, I was able to experiment with a variety of genres and styles, gradually finding my true passion in the world of artistic, one-on-one experiences. Over time, this passion evolved, and I began to incorporate elements of martial arts and physicality into my work, creating dynamic sessions that blend strength, creativity, and personal connection.
In addition to my modeling career, I’m also a certified yoga instructor, having earned my certification in 2018 in Rishikesh, India. Yoga has always been an essential part of my life, and it not only complements my modeling but also informs my approach to movement, flexibility, and control. I also enjoy incorporating flow arts and acro yoga, which adds an even deeper layer of creativity and balance to my work.
The combination of these passions has allowed me to develop a unique approach that brings together artistry, physicality, and mindfulness. Whether I’m working with photographers or individuals in more personal settings, I focus on creating memorable, meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been smooth, especially in the beginning. I actually went to school for website design, but I chose not to pursue that path because it felt too stressful for me. I much prefer what I do now, but it didn’t come without its challenges. The journey started out stressful, and it still can be at times, mainly because of how erratic my bookings are. I don’t have a consistent schedule, which can make balancing everything tricky. However, over time, I’ve learned to manage the unpredictability and embrace the flexibility that comes with this line of work. It’s definitely been a learning process, but I enjoy the creative freedom and personal connections that my current career brings.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a model, yoga instructor, and creative artist, I specialize in blending physical movement with artistic expression. I’m known for bringing a unique approach to my work, combining elements of martial arts, yoga, and personal connection to create dynamic, memorable experiences. My modeling ranges from fitness and fashion to more artistic and intimate genres, and I’m deeply passionate about using my body to tell stories and evoke emotions.
What sets me apart is the way I incorporate my background in martial arts and yoga into my sessions. I’m able to use my understanding of control, flexibility, and balance to create a fluid and engaging experience that’s both physical and creative. I’ve also cultivated a strong presence in session work, where I blend my artistic and athletic abilities to offer a variety of personalized experiences.
I’m most proud of how I’ve evolved over the years. What started out as a freelance modeling career has grown into something more impactful and personal. The ability to connect with others through my work and create experiences that resonate with people is what I value the most. Each session, each project, adds to my growth as an artist, and I love that I’m constantly evolving and learning along the way.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see the industry continuing to evolve with the growing demand for personalized content and unique experiences. As more people turn to online platforms, I believe there will be a shift towards creating even more customized and interactive content—like personalized yoga videos, custom modeling shoots, and one-on-one sessions that blend creativity with physicality.
Personally, I hope to transition to a space where I can have more stability, which includes moving into my own house. This would give me the space to further explore and develop my online offerings. I’m excited about expanding my digital content, such as creating more yoga videos and other custom video experiences for my audience. The potential for growth in online content creation is huge, and I plan to take full advantage of it to reach a broader audience while still maintaining the personal touch that sets my work apart.
