Hi Rebecca, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Creating a home filled with beauty and character has always been a part of who I am. My mom, an interior designer and antique dealer, has an incredible eye for all things beautiful. She always taught me to be thoughtful and deliberate when choosing furniture—investing in pieces that I would truly treasure rather than rushing into a purchase.
Over the holidays, while sitting in my parents’ den, I found myself reflecting on my desire for a creative outlet. That moment of inspiration led me to start RS Fine Home Decor. My goal is to offer high-quality, handcrafted furniture and home accessories at an affordable price—because I believe that beautiful, statement-making pieces should be accessible to everyone.
Every item I offer is hand-selected and something I genuinely love. My business is a reflection of both my home and my personality, and I take pride in curating timeless pieces that bring warmth, elegance, and individuality into any space.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey to launching RS Fine Home Decor has been one of hard work, dedication, and an unwavering passion for design. Like any new venture, there have been growing pains, but I see every challenge as an opportunity to learn and improve. With each step, I gain new insights and push myself to grow.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the support of friends, family, and business associates—there always seems to be someone there at just the right moment to offer guidance and encouragement. As I build global relationships, I’m constantly reminded of both the rewards and challenges that come with it. I make it a priority to stay open-minded, listen more than I speak, and, most importantly, enjoy the process.
At the end of the day, knowing that the furniture I sell brings joy to others is what truly warms my heart.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Professionally, I have spent over 15 years in healthcare, working with physicians in recruiting, operations, and business development. I am known for my ability to build trusting relationships and for my strong work ethic—when there’s a job to be done, I get it done. I truly love my career and the incredible relationships I’ve built along the way. Some of my most trusted confidants have come from my work, including a physician who was by my bedside when I had my first child—someone I still consider a dear friend to this day.
Above all, my greatest pride is my family. My husband, Josh, is my rock—an incredible partner and the best sounding board I could ask for. Together, we are raising our two wonderful children, James (9) and Mary Hollis (7), who are the absolute light of our lives.
Feeling supported in all aspects of my life has given me the confidence and drive to create RS Fine Home Decor. I am a businesswoman at heart—I love to work, and I love bringing joy to others. RS Fine Home Decor allows me to merge my passion for design with my entrepreneurial spirit, creating a brand that reflects my love for beautiful, meaningful spaces.
