Today we’d like to introduce you to Iliana Valle
Hi Iliana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began creating videos in 2015 with just an iPhone and iMovie. A close friend at the time had a Canon Rebel T3i and created wonderful videos and I remember thinking to myself that I wanted to make people feel things, the same way I felt things when I watched what she would create. From that point on I delved head first into videography. I got my first Sony camera from a tax refund and created any and everything that I could. When I moved away from home is when I feel like my creativity hit a plateau. I recognize now that the plateau was necessary for me to be able to find my voice with content creation. Through various projects: creative, weddings, events, product and branding, I slowly but surely began to find where my true heart was.
After years of freelancing, I decided to step out on faith completely and finalize my business which is now known as IV Creative, a jax-based creative company specializing in video marketing. Through trying everything I found my calling to be for new and local businesses. Of course, I still enjoy the art of creating freely where I can but it has been one of my greatest passions and blessings to be able to assist local business owners specifically in building their brand awareness on social platforms. I thank God for the doors he has opened for myself and IV Creative but also for those he has placed in my path to encourage and guide me through this process. I am going into my third month as a full time entrepreneur and I’ve learned two things: 1. It is NOT for the faint of heart (lol) and 2. While challenging, it can be the most rewarding experience if you remain teachable, open minded, and quick on your feet.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been an eventful journey to say the least. The toughest struggle has been navigating work and life balance. Where I was able to balance more when I had a consistent 9 to 5 structure, I am now learning time management. How to still show up and be present for my personal life when so much of my life now revolves around creating a strong foundation with my work now is very very tricky.

IV Creative is a Jacksonville, FL based Creative Company specializing in Video Marketing. What does this mean? We offer video editing, content creation, and even social media management services. While our heart is for local and new business owners, we love to create with care and creativity as a whole no matter what the project.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
A great piece of advice that I wish I took a lot sooner is to not be afraid of judgement with networking and getting out into the community. Humans thrive off of connection and in creative spaces especially, connections are not to be underestimated. All of my clients have been referral-based. Word of mouth is HUGE and it often times starts at networking. If you are someone who has been hesitant to begin networking, remember that when you lead with your passions, the people who are meant for you will find you, and your business and opportunities will begin to blossom exponentially.
