Community Highlights: Meet Jennifer Simpson of Art2Lectual Creative Consulting, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Simpson

Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey with a degree in psychology, which gave me a deep understanding of people and their motivations. That foundation led me to a variety of industries: banking, non-profits, education, and even oil and gas before finding my calling in marketing. I started my own business, Art2lectual Creative Consulting, to help busy professionals and organizations craft authentic, impactful marketing campaigns. Over the years, I’ve mastered the blend of strategy and creativity, working hands-on with clients to bring their visions to life, from digital content to full event production. My path has been guided by my passion for helping others succeed, and every step has brought me closer to honing my expertise. Today, I specialize in offering a comprehensive marketing suite, focusing on strategic planning and execution, allowing my clients to focus on what they do best while I handle the rest. It’s been an exciting, evolving journey!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced challenges that tested my resolve. One of the biggest hurdles was finding balance in balancing the creative side of my work with the financial aspects of running a business. There were moments when I had to navigate pricing my services in a way that reflected their value while ensuring long-term sustainability.

Another challenge was learning to secure larger, long-term contracts. Early on, I focused on short-term projects, but I quickly realized that retainer clients and longer-term partnerships were key to financial stability and growth. Shifting my mindset and approach to landing these bigger contracts took time, but it was worth it.

I’ve also had moments of self-doubt, especially being a socially awkward introvert in an industry that thrives on networking and constant communication. Overcoming that, finding my voice, and creating strategies that play to my strengths instead of forcing myself into uncomfortable molds has been a journey. But those challenges have made me more resilient and given me a clearer sense of purpose.

As you know, we’re big fans of Art2Lectual Creative Consulting, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Art2lectual Creative Consulting is all about helping professionals and businesses tell their stories in the most authentic, impactful way. We specialize in strategic marketing, PR management, and content creation, offering a hands-on, fully managed service. From building brand kits to executing video production, social media campaigns, and corporate events, we handle every detail so clients can focus on what they do best.

What sets us apart is our approach. I walk with clients every step of the way, ensuring each project reflects their unique voice and vision. We’re known for creating seamless marketing campaigns that not only look great but also deliver results. I’m proud of the work we’ve done with brands like Inspire and Empower with Dr. J., where we took a concept and built it into a profitable, well-known brand in a matter of months.

I want readers to know I’m here for busy professionals who want a marketing partner that truly gets them. Our services go beyond digital marketing whether it’s creating a standout event, producing impactful video content, or executing a long-term strategy, we focus on aligning marketing efforts with the client’s broader goals. Plus, we’re available evenings and weekends because I understand that clients need flexibility. If you want a partner who treats your brand like their own, that’s where we shine.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest piece of advice for anyone starting is to know your worth from day one. It’s easy to undervalue your skills or take on projects that don’t serve you, especially in the beginning. However, setting clear boundaries and pricing your work based on the value you bring will set you up for long-term success.

Another thing I wish I had known early on is that it’s okay to be selective with clients. Not every opportunity is the right fit, and it’s important to work with people who align with your values and vision. Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is.

Also, focus on building relationships, not just transactions. Some of my best clients came through referrals or long-term connections, and that trust is invaluable. Lastly, don’t be afraid to invest in yourself, whether it’s through continued education, mentorship, or even taking breaks to recharge. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so make sure to take care of yourself as you grow your business!
