Hi Jameel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I created my brand due to negative experiences I had with using products found on the shelves of big box stores. From itchy, dry, patchy beard to acne breakouts, I have experienced it all. After doing research on natural ingredients and how beneficial they were, I decided to create my own beard butter and oil. This is when things started to change. No more flakes, no more itchy and dry skin.
Finally something started working. I continued to use my own mixture of ingredients and finally began to see changes in my growth and changes in the way the beard retained moisture.
As a trial, I reached out to friends that were having similar issues and asked them to try my products. They too would soon start to see and feel a huge difference in their beards. So I asked myself why not take a chance on sharing with people outside of my circle. It cant hurt, right?
So, The Legacy Beard Brand was born.
Established in 2020, we have been dedicated to providing high-quality grooming products and exceptional customer service. Our brand was born out of a desire to help men cultivate their beards with confidence, sophistication, and style. We understand that a well-groomed beard is more than just facial hair—it’s a statement of individuality, character, and self-expression.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced some challenges along this journey. As a grassroots brand, like most small businesses, you have to take on various responsibilities. We’ve struggled with learning how to transition from making products on a small scale to a larger one, managing social media, marketing, advertising, and overall business operations. However, when you’re passionate about what you do, you embrace these challenges and use them as motivation to learn, adapt, and improve.
