Mineral Stains started in 2017 with a focus on service and installation. We later merged with Midwest Brick Stain, adding services like masonry restoration and chimney work. With firsthand knowledge of masonry issues and proper installation techniques, we’ve grown to understand the intricacies of our craft.
In 2023, we began manufacturing our own Mineral Stains. We’re Matt and Martha, a husband-and-wife team dedicated to masonry preservation. Our journey began with a passion for breathable stains, evolving into something truly special. We sell our products nationwide, serving both professionals and retail clients with top-quality solutions.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Navigating our journey hasn’t always been seamless. We’ve encountered several challenges along the way. Logistics, sourcing raw materials, and managing timelines have posed ongoing hurdles. Each masonry home presents unique characteristics and histories, which can complicate our work, especially when previous repairs are incomplete or inadequate. Communicating our message effectively has also been a challenge, as many homeowners have established preferences and perceptions about painting practices. For instance, there’s often a misconception that staining Hardie boards isn’t an option, when in fact, it is. Despite these obstacles, we continually evolve our approach to meet the diverse needs of our clients and the ever-changing demands of our industry.
