Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Clark
Hi Brooke, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always loved things that invoked a sense of wonder, whimsy, and happiness.
As a child I grew up on the magic of Disney films and the nostalgia they now hold on so many is quite amazing. So with that in mind and living in Florida near the beach, I like to try and incorporate that feeling into my products and shop in my own special way.
Which is where the name came to be ” A Dust of Magic”.
One day I was scrolling through facebook and came across a page for Car Freshies (Car Air Fresheners) and thought they were really neat and I did some research and taught myself everything I needed to know on how to make them. It was such a great creative outlet for me especially during the pandemic. I started my business on Car Freshies which are still my best sellers, to now selling not only candles but beautiful hair accessories such as bamboo brushes and claw clips which are also Earth Friendly as they are all made of Bio-degradable material. My products focus on the magic we all love from our favorite Fairytales and stories, some fun pop-culture references and of course to our own story of our brand which is for the dreamers who love cute accessories for everyday whether thats for your hair, your bag, your home or your car, while also tying in Florida themed references.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely never a smooth road when owning your own business and there is always learning curves with the up’s and downs. However, it’s such a rewarding job to do and have. Some days are amazing where I feel like everything is going right and then theres other days where I feel like I’m going nowhere. Being one person trying to run a small business is tough, but when you meet your goals, it’s an amazing feeling! My biggest struggle is taking the leap of investing in my own business but I know to grow you have to believe in the decisions you make.

I love creating content on instagram and tiktok. Wether thats for my business and/or personal life. It’s such a great outlet for small business to gain exposure and grow and can open up many different opportunities! I also love photography, landscape and wildlife to be more specific.
