Check Out Jennifer Klinge’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Klinge.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My husband, Jonny, and I began our mobile bartending business in the summer of 2022. During the pandemic, we started noticing mobile bars popping up in different areas and thought it was the most incredible idea. I think of the possibility of us creating one of our own, but it seemed like an out-of-reach dream. After the birth of our second child, the idea of starting our own business heavily weighed on me. During this time, I was stepping away from my career to be a stay-at-home mom. We determined that starting this business would be a great way to generate extra income for our family and allow me to express myself creatively. Since Jonny had an extensive history and passion for bartending, building something that could capture our skill sets and be fun to do together was important. Cask & Corral was brought to life in July, and we did our first wedding in October. We poured so much of ourselves into our business and are proud of everything we accomplished this first year. We’ve enjoyed meeting new people, being creative with our brand, controlling our schedule, and having fun bartending.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
I would be lying if I said we sometimes didn’t struggle financially. We poured our whole savings into this business while also transitioning into a single-income family at the beginning. We are constantly learning and figuring things out as we go, but it’s all a part of the process. It’s not usually easy, but it’s worth it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a husband and wife-owned and operated mobile bartending business, so we primarily work each event together. We specialize in fresh ingredient cocktails and quality service and prioritize setting a fun environment for our clients. We use a converted horse trailer as our bar that can roll into any open space. We put a lot of time and effort into creating a unique and unique bar from any others we had already seen. We needed to stay true to our style and make it versatile enough to go with any theme or event. Our cocktails and service are constantly complimented and raved about by past clients. We thoroughly enjoy what we do, which is shown through our work.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Jacksonville is our home and has been for so many years. We love that although it is such a big city, it tends to have small community vibes. We always see someone we know no matter where we go or what event we’re doing. We love everything there is to do around the city, whether going to the Riverside Arts Market on Saturday, taking our kids to a museum or the zoo, or taking a quick trip to the beach. There is always something to do or see, and we love that. Our least favorite thing is The traffic and the number of townhome/condo/apt complexes being built everywhere. It feels as if they are trying to squeeze a huge apartment complex anywhere.
