Hi Arpita; thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
As the name suggests, I am highly passionate about dogs. I have been a dog lover and an animal advocate all my life. Passion For Dogs is dedicated to my angel furbaby Dazzler, the reason, and inspiration behind Passion For Dogs! I brought home Dazzler when he was just a few weeks old, and we were together for 16 years. Although I grew up with dogs, I learned so much from Dazzler. It is due to Dazzler that I researched and learned about healthy. All natural homemade dog food and dog treats because Dazzler had several medical conditions during his senior years, which triggered my research about commercial dog foods and certain medications. I learned that many commercial dog foods could adversely affect a dog’s health or cause health problems like cancer. I also learned that some medications, such as antibiotics, can compromise a dog’s immune system. So I decided to cook homemade dog food for Dazzler after consulting with his vet, but unfortunately, it was too late for his recovery by then. So, I decided to spread awareness amongst other pet parents about all-natural dog food and treats. I started a YouTube channel a few years back to spread this awareness and could help thanks to my baby Dazzler, many pet parents, and their dogs. Opening my all-natural gourmet dog bakery is the next step in that journey!
I rescued Jackie from a kill shelter, and Buddy was a lost/found dog I eventually adopted. After Dazzler, I rescued Jackie and Buddy, and they rescued me! I have been cooking homemade dog food, so they do not have to go through what Dazzler had to. Additionally, I started making homemade dog treats for them, especially for Jackie, because Jackie’s tummy didn’t agree with store-bought dog treats. Since I started making their treats, Jackie has had no more tummy issues. So it was another nudge, and I decided to start this gourmet dog bakery!
By profession, I am into IT and am a former Graphic Designer, but my heart lies in helping dogs. I help dogs in any way I can, such as working with local animal rescue organizations as a volunteer and administering a local lost pets group in my area to help reunite lost/found dogs. I run free-pack walk events to help dogs with mental and physical stimulation, I run a YouTube channel to spread awareness about all-natural dog food and treats, and I support dogs in need by donating. With my Passion For Dogs Gourmet Dog Bakery, I am helping dogs, both the ones that consume my healthy all-natural dog treats/dog cakes and those in need that I help from a portion of the proceeds of my sales.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I wouldn’t call it a smooth road because there were many things to learn along the way, and I’m still learning something new every day. To name a few: Getting all the appropriate approvals/licenses/registrations, spreading the word, ensuring all the marketing items are aligned before the launch, and such.
