Hi Shantese, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have over 20 plus years of experience in childcare. It has always been my dream to establish a childcare center. I wanted my center to be different. I saw a need in the special needs and wanted to ensure that no child would be turned away. Given my special needs background, I wanted to target those children. I believe they also deserve the best care and education without limitations.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I opened in the middle of the pandemic, which had its challenges. However, we overcame every obstacle before us.

Precious Hands Childcare is more than just a daycare. Our children feel safe, secure, and happy in each classroom.
In terms of your work and the industry. What are some changes you expect to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, PHC will be national. It is my goal to be nationally known.
