Today we’d like to introduce you to Alec Poole.
Hi Alec, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was always interested in a creative field and being my own boss. Starting my first business at 18 with my lifelong friend I began to experiment a lot with social media and learned how to scale brands. After doing that for a few years my dad asked me to help him renovate a house he was flipping. I was always interested in real estate from a young age and always enjoyed everything about it. From watching it on TV to now actually working on a house myself thinking about how all the choices we make will affect the value I was hooked. I knew I wanted to leave Ohio to find out what else life had to offer, that’s how I ended up pursuing my dream as a real estate agent full time in one of the most prestigious communities in America. Ponte Vedra Beach
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Real Estate is a very hard business to enter especially in my community at only 23 years of age. Most of my competition has been in the business for 10+ years. The hardest part is getting people to believe in you and your image.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a real estate agent that was new and young, I knew I had to distinguish myself somehow, I looked back at my experience and chose to target social media. A lot of real estate agents tend to be 10-15 years older than me and don’t have the same expertise I have. Social media has become a lifeline for my business from promoting myself, to filming and producing content on other agents’ houses I have truly found what works for me. I specialize in luxury real estate but I’m always up for any challenge. This is truly my passion and I want to learn every aspect of the business.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
You have to get used to hearing “No”. At first, it was a huge step, 100 people tell you no and one tells you yes. But once you realize the worst thing someone can say is no you begin to get a lot more comfortable.
