Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitley Collins.
Hi Whitley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My wax journey started close to 6 years ago working in a chain salon. I decided to branch out sometime later to expand my skills and clientele. I wanted to provide more than just an in-out wax service. I wanted to provide an experience.
I’d worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 10 years before, so I was able to combine my two loves to create a space and atmosphere where everyBODY can stop in for professional waxing services in a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One thing that was challenging was creating a balance between my personal and business life. I’ve been blessed with an amazing clientele and team at this time so I’m able to take the time I need for myself.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in brow artistry and full body waxing. I believe what sets me apart is my “attention to detail” personality and hospitality. Jacksonville is full of talented individuals. I always feel you could go anywhere to receive these services, but you came to Whit Collins Studio for the experience.
I’m most known for my brow sculpting technique and flawless Brazilians.
I’m most proud of my journey so far and being a trailblazer in the wax community for Jacksonville. I’ve recently won the BEST BOSS award for 2022 in spa services. I’m still pretty excited and grateful for that!
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Consistency, intention, professionalism, and staying genuine to myself and my craft have been essential qualities that have grown my business for the close to 5 years.
