Today we’d like to introduce you to Dustin Humphrey.
Hi Dustin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Mister Wedding is a business that was started by a sequence of events that led to seeing a market that could use a bit of diversity and new blood.
We started in 2018 when Amie Ayers from Amie Ayers Photography called me asking if I would be interested in doing an emergency ceremony that another officiant had a family emergency and would not be able to do the ceremony. I agreed, rushed to the venue, and started a relationship with a B&B on St. Augustine’s Bayfront that was in need of an officiant that can be ready with relatively short notice.
Four years later, we have married more than 60 happy couples. We have performed in venues that only involve the Bride and Groom or large venues that have more than 100 people. I am also willing to travel to most places along the east coast from Florida to Maryland.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The biggest challenge I’ve had to overcome would be the anxiety that precedes performing in front of a larger audience. I have implemented a process that alleviates most of the butterflies.
Another obstacle I have faced in this industry is competing with corporate wedding planning services which can sometimes overshadow my services with the idea that they will be providing an officiant that can perform a more extravagant ceremony.
Unfortunately, this is often not the case and all of my couples get my full attention before, during, and after ceremonies are performed.

My name is Dustin S. Humphrey and I officiate weddings in St. Augustine, FL.
I specialize in elopements, destination weddings, Hand-fasting, and Sand Ceremonies. I started my work life as a soldier in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. What sets me apart from others would be my dedication, punctuality, and professional behavior.
I also take much pride in my appearance and realize how important getting those images perfect is. Some of these photos will be looked at for generations so I treat every wedding like it will be seen by the world.

I learned from the Covid-19 crisis that TOGETHER we can overcome any obstacle in our way!
