Hi Hinda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Luxe Wix® because I wanted to help busy professional women like me to find ways to truly relax at the end of a long workday and calm distracting work thoughts.
I also needed a way to relax after work and have a creative outlet that didn’t involve me thinking or stressing about work. Often when official work hours were over, I still continued thinking about work up to and after bedtime.
This struggle inspired me to create candles, wax melts and room sprays with the right scent-to-base ratio to help other professionals like me relax and find their calm.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been entirely smooth or bumpy.
I truly love what I do and could do it all day every day, but the reality is I only have so many hours in a day. The challenge I face daily is juggling my busy full-time job, my 1st business (a thriving travel business), and Luxe Wix®, while also finding time to devote to self-care and quality family time.
Achieving ‘balance’ with my busy life and schedule is not realistic, but rather I find ways to integrate all facets and so far, it seems to be working.

Luxe Wix® Candle Co. (@luxewix) offers aromatic relaxation tools to help you find your calm. We are a woman-owned business based in sunny Jacksonville, Florida and we love what we do! Our small-batch, hand-poured candles, wax melts, room sprays, and more aid you in creating a different kind of luxury relaxation in the comfort of your home or on the go.
All of our scented products are hand-poured, dye-free, and contain 3 ingredients or less, with raw materials sustainably sourced from US-based suppliers. We reuse packaging material from our suppliers and encourage our community to do so as well.
Our vessels for candles, wax melts, room sprays, and most of our other products are glass and are reusable. Our candle boxes can also be upcycled as gift boxes or storage for small items.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is the need for a personal board of directors or tribe to hold you accountable, give you words of encouragement when needed, and serve as thought partners for new product and service ideas.
Entrepreneurs of all ages and stations in life need a community and to realize that there are others who’ve made the mistakes, paved the way, and have great testimonies that can serve as invaluable lessons.
