Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Potter Worsnop.
Hi Victoria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I moved to Jax BCH in the middle of my senior year and attended fletcher. Briefly, after I graduated, I joined the navy, I ended up being stationed at NAS Jax in Orange Park for my entire career. I was on active duty in the navy for over 6 years before I was medically retired.
During that time, I accomplished a lot military-wise and outside of the navy worked with many Veteran owned companies through Instagram for product shoots and calendars which was the start of my Instagram growth. I met my husband in 2018 at one of his concerts in Kansas City, Missouri at his band’s meet and greet.
(Asking Alexandria). I was able to travel the world and meet many amazing people which have led to great connections both personally and professionally. Since my medical retirement, which was shortly after Covid started I’ve had the opportunity to branch off and discover new passions.
I’m now a model, twitch streamer, and business owner. I still work closely with many veteran-owned companies and am growing every day.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it’s been the smoothest ride.
I have endometriosis PCOS and adenomyosis which were part of the reason I was medically retired from the navy. Which wasn’t something I wanted. I had major surgery in 2021 for them and that was a setback and took a while to bounce back with how long the healing took.
And then just as I had freedom from the military the world shut down so starting off fresh during that was a bit difficult but that’s an obstacle we all faced.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The first time I was ever able to invest in myself was when I started streaming. My twitch is @torias_secret It’s been really freeing and exciting building my own community of awesome people that are so supportive of me.
I stream a variety of games as well as do music nights since a lot of my following has come from the rock music scene. My stream is inclusive and the community is kind. We love to laugh and create a space that everyone can come into for some good vibes.
I also get to experience creative freedom with my Patreon page which is where my photoshoots go that aren’t specifically used for a company’s campaign. It’s the same username as my twitch.
Between my Patreon and Twitch, I ventured into creating clothing items which all sold out very quickly. I’m now rebuilding the site to hold more traffic as well as designing more items since the ones already purchased were limited and won’t be coming back.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a kid, I was very outgoing and wanted to be friends with everyone and make everyone laugh. I was always smiling and laughing at myself. A mixture between a girly girl and a tomboy.
Athletic, and a little reckless and loved an adrenaline rush. I know my mom was stressed because I was constantly in and out of the hospital with a broken bone or stitches. I wouldn’t say I’ve changed much since a child just a bit more conscious of my safety now! I’ve always been a huge fan of anime, as well as any book series I could get lost in.
Most of my interests are the same as a child and I’m happy that the things I didn’t get to do then I’m able to do for myself now. I live to feed my inner child and she is very happy.
