Hi CanDace, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be the owner of multiple successful businesses bringing in 6 figure years. It all started when I was young watching and working alongside my mother.
She decorated many events and functions, placing her own special touch on arrangements and decorations which made every detail very unique. It sooner than later became a passion of mine. This is how CandyGlam Creations became to be.
Every day I would put my blood sweat and tears into my business. That’s when I began to notice how my health and skin began to be affected. I then became very interested in skincare and decided to go to school to retrieve my Estheticians License. Since then, I have also opened my own spa and created The Enchanted Garden Beaute Spa!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to my success has been everything but smooth!
There are many obstacles that you face being an entrepreneur but your success is determined by how bad you want it. I have a great support system and I feel like without it I could have easily given up! But they continued to push me and that made me push myself. I’ve had many struggles being a business owner money management being one of them.
I had to learn how to manage my personal finances from my business finances and not mix the two. But the biggest struggle I had was comparing myself to others! I had to learn my clients are my clients and not to try to be like the next person but to be a better me!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an Event Planner & Licensed Esthetician. I specialize in planning events and customizing decorations to bring my client’s vision to life! I also specialize in Waxing, Facials, Lashes, Microblading, Teeth Whitening, Eyebrow Threading, and Yoni Steams.
I’m most proud that I will be able to pass businesses down to my children and watch my legacy continue and grow. I am different from others because I do my own thing! I’m not one to follow trends I start them!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My children love to say “NO CAP” but I always say “Yes CAP” it’s an acronym I use to keep me focused! My success came from my “Consistency and persistence”. Those words have had a major impact on my success!
