Rising Stars: Meet Michelle Gonzales

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Gonzales.

Hi Michelle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
This venture started 6 years ago when I was an assistant manager at a call center. One day, a girl on my team was crying because no one in her life had done anything for her birthday, let alone remembered. I’ve always been an emphatic person and seeing her cry like that broke my heart. At lunch, I went out and got a few things to decorate her desk.

To me, it was very small, but to her it was everything! After that, other co-workers started asking me to decorate their desks for their birthdays. Before I knew it, I was coming into work an hour early getting paid, just to decorate desks! One day, my soon-to-be first client, Kiara asked me if I could decorate her brother’s baby shower.

I told her, I’ve never done a baby shower but I’ll try! And here we are 6 years later! The fact that I now own a six-figure company that was birthed from being nice to ONE person, ONE day, blows my mind EVERY day. “Love thy neighbor” rings true over here every day, and I purpose to be the best version of me that I can be every day

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, but with God, I have always persevered.

I’ve lost many people that I thought were friends. There have been many days where I’m personally dealing with a lot, or when a family member passed away, and I still have to go out with a smile on and create the perfect wedding or birthday party for my clients and they have no clue.

The fact that I handle adversity the way I do, is how I know I was born to create and bring happiness to people

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We design unforgettable memories!

We have continuously educated ourselves on the different trends and facets of our industry. Allowing us to be amongst the top tier in our industry for balloons, birthday party and wedding designs. We’ve recently also added florals to our repertoire.

This advanced skill set allows us to be more diverse than many, and become a one-stop-shop for all event needs.

What are your plans for the future?
In April, we will be announcing the opening of our very first venue! We’re bringing luxury micro-events to Jacksonville, and we absolutely can not wait! Our space will be like nothing that we have here currently!
