Today we’d like to introduce you to Chandra Jatikusuma.
Hi Chandra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all started with a mindset, putting my mind into it, and following through. The journey itself is not been easy. Been working in the restaurant business since I was 18 years old, close to 23 years.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It wasn’t a smooth road to take to open a business, but you have to follow through. There is a lot that I can always think of what is the obstacle. Every case is always different, one common example would be the health department, if you follow the book and do exactly what the book says then it should not be an issue.
But the key to that is, no matter what the struggle is you have to keep moving forward and follow through.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We sell a simple menu of hibachi and sushi. Every bite that people take must be delicious from hibachi and sushi. That’s why the menu is simple and perfecting it every time.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
first is from God, and my wife Devi Kon and my sons Ethan Jatikusuma and Filbert Jatikusuma. And all my side of the family together with my wife’s side of the family. My wife is always reminded me to keep moving forward and follow through.
Sometimes when I feel frustrated, she is the one who always reminds me to follow through.
