Daily Inspiration: Meet Shaher Hassan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaher Hassan.

Hi Shaher, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi, I’m Shaher Hassan, I’m 26 years old, I’m the owner of BOSS AIR Services and Co-owner of Carisma Auto Trade and an Airline Pilot.

And this is my story!

It started when I was 18 years old when I moved to the states from EGYPT to study aviation and become an airline pilot while I was a student, I worked at any job that I could make money from, gas station, bussing tables, Server in restaurants, etc. Coming in at that young age was fun and challenging especially the differences between Egypt and America.

I kept pursuing my dream vision of becoming an airline pilot and owning my own airline company. I became a flight instructor in a school at Saint Augustine Airport (Florida aviation). And while I was an instructor, I was hustling 24/7, and I was fortunate enough to score an opportunity to fly Private jets on the side and meet great people along the way. That got me closer and closer to my goals.

Then one day my friend and I really started to work on opening our own charter private jet company we started to study day and night, and go through a huge 3-year process with the FAA, and a lot of meetings. (the hustle was consistent) every obstacle came up tough me and made me stubborn that no matter what I’m going to turn my dream into reality. We came after a long 4 and a half years to find out that we are not qualified to own our jets yet.

Guess what? That never stopped me!

In 2018, BOSS AIR was up and running as a Private jet Brokerage company, on its way to being a Charter company owing our own jets. But in the meanwhile, it is building its brand with a huge success providing services to all North America and South America. Also, in 2018 I Became an airline pilot. And I knew that I’m on the right path to achieving my vision.

One day in 2020 a friend of mine talked to me about an opportunity to partner together and open a car dealership in Jacksonville Florida. A great opportunity that I had to take advantage of. The crazy part is that after 4 months from opening the dealership I realized that none of us have any experience on how to run a dealership! But the learning process was nonstop every single day.

And now Carisma Auto Trade is one of the top fastest-growing startups based on the national business growing AVG rate.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
If it was smooth anyone would do it!

The cultural differences and the age that I started with on my own were fun but were challenging as well. Also being 22 years old and having to sit in a meeting with inspectors from the FAA was intimidating but, my friend and I sat with all the confidence in this world simply because we were ready for them.

We studied day and night and our drive and passion were bigger than anything. And getting into the car industry by jumping right into it had a big pressure on us, that we had to learn it very well and very quickly. So, we don’t lose all the effort we spent on opening the business.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have nothing but great words for my profession as a Pilot.

Having to provide service and fly people to their destinations and get to fly and overnight in a very nice place and meet new people every trip I go. It’s like time off, it never felt like a job.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?

1. Three words I found later how great their value is when I made them a habit in my life CONSISTENCY, SELF DISCIPLINE, AND RESILIENCE.

2. Make sure that you believe in your dream so hard that when you close your eyes, you’re able to see it and Feel it, visualizing yourself in the future. Is it a great way to keep your mindset programmed to what you want?

3. Never give up on your dream, cause if you did you give up on yourself and you let yourself down.

4. Don’t confuse setbacks with failures, you will fall many times expected and accepted because it’s the only way to learn and keep pushing forward.

5. Don’t forget that the real adventure and joy of your success comes from the ups and downs along the way, it was the journey itself. Seeing something from nothing, become a dream you had one day is very rewarding.
