Daily Inspiration: Meet Diana Vasquez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Vasquez.

Hi Diana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Soundbath Jax was created in a very accidental way. In 2019, I found myself at a crossroads in my life. I was a successful esthetician specializing in Brazilian bikini waxes for 15+ years, But I was lacking fulfillment and I knew I wanted to make more of a lasting change in the people I came in contact with every day.

I decided to attend a sound healing session, hoping to gain clarity on my future and my calling and just relax a bit. Instead, I found out sound healing WAS my calling! I absolutely fell in love with this modality of relaxation. Then, one by one, a series of events occurred that made her realize the universe was lighting a path for me. I just needed to honor those steps that were being lit for me. I finished my Level one-two training in Denver, CO, and came back to Florida, ready to put what I had learned into practice.

As I began to perform sound baths with friends and family, I came to recognize that I was ready to step in and fill the void in Jacksonville so that others could experience this beautiful modality that had helped me so much. I’ve since attended other sound healing programs to gain further expansion in my practice. I also recognize and honor that each sound healer is unique and brings their own style to the experiences.

My personal style is to guide all participants through a brief meditation to prepare them and then to allow the crystal singing bowls and plethora of other sound healing instruments to do their own magic by intuitive playing. This allows all participants to open and expand and hopefully heal.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In all honesty are any roads really smooth In life ?? If we don’t come across bumps and detours we don’t grow from the experience. In my many years of business ownership, I have learned that the more you resist and fight a process the more it fights back. I’ve learned to honor the path and allow it to happen as it needs to because I truly believe I am divinely protected and guided.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a FEMALE Colombian-American born and raised here in Jacksonville, FL which hasn’t always been the easiest.

When I opened my first salon with my mother in 2001 it wasn’t easy to be a respected (and at that time young) female business owner. Much less one that didn’t go through college. I’m grateful for the amazing people who have surrounded me and guided me through the process.

My motto in life has always been regretting nothing! When I’m 90 years old and reconciling my journey, I want to be able to say you know what the road wasn’t always pretty but I’ve definitely lived and learned and done some pretty amazing things.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Well, the world we live in has allowed the expansion of mindfulness to a level I never imagined just 2/3 years ago. The most impressive part is seeing all the younger generations being so OPEN to taking care of themselves and being mindful… it’s truly a beautiful shift that’s we are seeing happen in real-time! So for the future I hope to see more mindfulness and more expansions in our community.
