Exploring Life & Business with Katie Beecher of Katie Beecher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Beecher.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
From a very young age, I was extremely sensitive and able to pick up other people’s energy and even “spirits”. These experiences were often frightening, so I tried to ignore my intuitive and psychic abilities.

My spiritual journey began at the age of 16 with recovery from an eating disorder that left me not wanting to live. I believe that it was divine intervention that led me to call my pediatrician, without telling my parents, and tell him that I was bulimic and needed help.

The therapist he recommended was very accepting and encouraging of my intuitive and psychic abilities and taught me how to safely connect with my intuition, embrace my gifts and find self-love. She practiced Jungian Psychology, based on the teachings of Carl Jung, a famous psychiatrist who lived during the mid-1900s. With her help and hard work, I recovered and decided to go to school to become a counselor. I got my master’s degree and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been a therapist for over thirty years.

As I worked with clients, my intuitive abilities became stronger and stronger and I realized that it was time to embrace them. I joined a Spiritualist church where medium readings are part of the services and took classes to learn more about what I was capable of. In one of the classes I took, I was introduced to the topic of medical intuition, which I didn’t even know I was able to do.

To my surprise, I knew intimate details about a person’s life, their childhood, their physical and spiritual well-being, their relationships, their family, and much more, using only a name and an age. I have been doing this work for approximately ten years.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. I truly feel that my eating disorder was a great gift, but recovery was very difficult because I had to learn to love myself. I’m fortunate to have been recovered over thirty years. I grew up in a very dysfunctional family and part of my recovery was learning to stand up for myself and set healthy boundaries.

I have recovered from Lyme disease and depression. My mother became paralyzed from a flu shot and lived that way for ten years until she died. I was her sole caretaker for four of those years, an experience that changed my priorities and made me appreciate life and the people I cared about more deeply. Like everyone, I’ve had my share of challenges but they have been part of my spiritual and emotional development.

If it were not for many of these challenges, I would never have learned about my strengths and special abilities and wouldn’t have found the courage to use them and talk about them.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Medical and Spiritual Intuitive?
I am a medical and spiritual intuitive, medium, and licensed professional counselor with over thirty years of experience. I am featured in multiple well-known publications and websites such as Goop, Poosh, Miranda Kerr’s Kora Organics. I work with people all over the world in a very unique way.

Knowing only their name and age, I begin their intuitive reading by creating a very detailed, four-page report including information about their physical, emotional, and spiritual concerns, their childhood, relationships, traumas, intuitive abilities, family health history, life purpose, and much more. I also create a symbolic watercolor painting. Before we meet, I send the report and painting, which we discuss during the appointment. I also get additional information from my guides during the appointment.

The goal of the meeting is to identify all of the root causes of their health issues and unhappiness as well as design an action plan moving forward, with real-life tools and strategies. If the client needs additional information about their health, since I cannot legally or ethically diagnose, I have doctors and other health professionals I refer to for testing, treatment, and confirmation of the information my guides provide.

My book, Heal from Within: A Guidebook to Intuitive Wellness, is available for pre-sale wherever books are sold and will be out on February 15. It is published by St. Martin’s Press. In Heal from Within, nationally recognized medical intuitive Katie Beecher shares a revolutionary, customizable approach to holistic health that encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Readers will learn to be led by their own intuition as they move towards healing that encompasses body, mind, and soul.

Using the chakras as a framework, Katie guides readers to inventory their physical and emotional health, identifying their key issues and which chakras they’re associated with. Each chapter focuses on a specific chakra, providing insight into the issues associated with that energy center along with healing techniques and suggestions. The second part of the book includes a comprehensive glossary of specific conditions along with tailored treatment suggestions.

Filled with practical advice—from suggestions for supplements to exercises, mantras, and dialogue prompts—Heal from Within empowers readers to confidently take control of their own wellness.

There is more information on my website, www.katiebeecher.com, where people can also make an appointment.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Be honest with yourself and address your own issues – it is important not to just talk the talk. Keep practicing, listen to your intuition without judgment, be open to the information you receive without worrying about being wrong, and do not give any advice you are not licensed or qualified to give out.

Write articles, make connections and find out about possible podcasts and publications you could appear in or on.
