Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Ralko.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started Your Way Pediatrics because I wanted families to have care that felt personal, accessible, and centered on their needs. Specializing in pediatrics and psychiatric mental health, I’ve seen how closely physical health, mental health, and family life are connected. My training in functional medicine has also shaped the way I listen, ask questions, and look for the factors contributing to a patient’s symptoms.
Today, I care for children and adults through a mix of in-home, office, and virtual visits. What matters most to me is giving patients time to be heard and working with them to make a plan that fits their lives. Building Your Way Pediatrics has allowed me to practice in a way that reflects those values.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Starting a practice meant learning how to run a business while continuing to show up fully for my patients. There have been long days, difficult decisions, and plenty of moments when I’ve had to figure things out as I went.
One of the biggest challenges has been building a model of care that gives families more time and access while also being sustainable. I care deeply about being available when families need me, but I’ve learned that I have to set thoughtful boundaries to keep doing this work well.
Those challenges have helped me grow as both a clinician and a business owner. They’ve also made me even more committed to the reason I started Your Way Pediatrics: giving families care that feels personal and supportive.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Your Way Pediatrics is a family-centered practice serving Nocatee, Saint Augustine, Saint Johns, and the surrounding communities. We offer pediatric care alongside mental health services and functional medicine consultations for children and adults. Families can see us in their homes, in the office, or virtually, depending on what works best for the visit.
I’m known for always being available and accessible, and taking the time to listen and look at the whole picture. A child’s physical symptoms, emotional well-being, sleep, nutrition, and family life often overlap. My background in pediatrics, psychiatric care, and functional medicine helps me bring those pieces together while still providing practical, evidence-informed medical care. We help with everything from newborn visits, sick visits, and physicals to ADHD, anxiety, and more complex ongoing concerns.
What sets Your Way Pediatrics apart is the relationship we build with families. Parents can ask questions, be part of decisions, and choose care that aligns with their values. We don’t require vaccinations as a condition of care, and we’re available 365 days a year because children’s needs don’t follow a schedule.
I’m most proud that the name reflects the experience we’re trying to create. “Your Way” means meeting families where they are, listening without judgment, and working together on a plan that makes sense for them.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the difference I make in people’s lives. It’s a parent feeling heard instead of dismissed, a child becoming more comfortable at a visit, or a patient finally having a plan that makes sense to them. Those moments mean more to me than any business milestone.
As a practice owner, success also means building something lasting: a place where families trust the care they receive and where I can keep showing up for them with the time and attention they deserve. If Your Way Pediatrics helps families feel supported and confident in their care, then I’m doing what I set out to do.
