Daily Inspiration: Meet Kelly Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Green.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We were transporting a boat from Jacksonville to lake Charlevoix , MI about 3 years ago and realized that getting things like provisions and supplies was very difficult and like hitting a moving target so when we arrived back in st Augustine we looked into how this experience could help the boating and cruising community here since st. Augustine is a major stop on the great loop. Since Bryan is a 30+ yr seasoned private captain , he was able to figure out logistics, we have a sandbar patrol where our ambassadors bring hot food and ice cream to boaters at the sandbar and during lights of nights season, we bring the harbor patrol where we deliver orders for restaurant meals, groceries, marine supplies and anything else you can think of.. our ambassadors greet new boaters and can help answer questions about St. Augustine.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some challenges we have had to overcome: trying to figure out something that’s never been done anywhere before, figuring out what a true boaters convenience vs need is, determining what food cost and pricing is fair, finding people that can represent St. Augustine well and the company. Coordinating logistics to have drop off locations for deliveries along with tides and weather have been a unique challenge as well.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Bryan is a a 30+ seasoned private captain born and raised in the Jacksonville area with true southern roots. His son Bryce is also a private captain. Kelly is originally from Pittsburgh and is a licensed social worker, holistic professional and has had a small business before moving to fl. Together they started anchor eats and a new live fb show called The Captains Corner every Thursday &6:30p and host the St. Augustine cruisers network broadcast on Tues, Thurs, sat mornings from Nov through June

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Spreading kindness to our customers is most important along with trying to be the best version of ourselves. Customer service has suffered recently and we want to bring it back with every interaction we and our ambassadors have on land and water. We want to help keep our waters clean by coordinating sandbar cleanup days.
