Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Nito.
Hi Jeremy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Jeremy Nito, a graphic designer currently in Jacksonville Florida. I have been in the design field for many years. I feel art has been something natural for me and out of all the disciplines, design has been the one to gravitate towards me. I love being a designer and I’m grateful and fortunate to still be doing something I enjoy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like with any journey and any story, it comes with obstacles and challenges. I wouldn’t consider the road to where I’m at smooth but it is all part of the experience. Figuring out college was a challenge because looking back it, it could have been a major turning point in my life. Even now, understanding my skillset and how I stand out to others in my field has something I developed and learned along the way. As time and technology advances, AI and how it changes the landscape is something I’ll have to adapt to.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a graphic designer but I feel being diverse and well rounded with my skillset has been something that has been what was able to keep me in the occupation for so long. As what others tell me, I’m great with creativity and being very adept with adobe, especially photoshop. For the past few years I’ve been designing for the pool and billiard industry. Passion projects or projects where I can story-tell is where I feel I get to let my strength flow. My senior thesis was a great example of me letting my skillset shine, storytelling, and just letting my designs speak for me. It also led me to being awarded with honors in graphic design for my class. As of lately seeing my projects in public don’t give me excitement like when I first started in the industry but to receive compliments on my more creative work or people just enjoying my work is fulfilling enough.
