Hidden Gems: Meet Greg Rider of Gregory Paul’s

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Rider.

Hi Greg, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Gregory Paul’s was born from the opportunity to reinvent my career. As I explored what truly inspired me, I realized that every path led back to my passion for food. Rather than opening a traditional restaurant, I envisioned a different approach—offering freshly prepared meals through a changing weekly menu, along with boutique catering beautifully presented on white china.

For the past 16 years, Gregory Paul’s has built its reputation one meal at a time. While we’ve grown over the years, our guiding principle has remained the same: to create delicious, distinctive meals and memorable catering experiences with exceptional quality, thoughtful preparation, and personal service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like many small businesses, we’ve weathered our share of challenges. Rising food costs, increasing insurance premiums, and the many behind-the-scenes expenses of operating a small business have often arrived faster than anyone could have anticipated. We’ve worked hard to absorb as much of those increases as possible because we know that continually raising prices affects the families who have supported us for so many years. It isn’t always easy to find that balance, but we’ve learned to plan better for the unexpected while staying true to what matters most—serving exceptional food at a fair value.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
What Makes Us Proud

For more than 16 years, Gregory Paul’s has been about so much more than preparing meals. Together, we’ve created a community of people who simply love good food.

We are incredibly grateful for every customer—past and present. Whether you’ve picked up dinner for your family each week, trusted us to cater a milestone celebration, or shared our name with a friend or neighbor, you’ve helped write our story. Without your support, we wouldn’t have the privilege of doing what we love every day.

Each week, as we create a new menu, we do it with you in mind. Your feedback, your favorite dishes, your encouragement, and the kind words you’ve shared with others have allowed Gregory Paul’s to continue growing. Knowing that our food becomes part of your family dinners, celebrations, and everyday moments is what inspires us to keep cooking with creativity, gratitude, and happiness.

Thank you for making Gregory Paul’s part of your table. We look forward to serving you for many years to come.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk-Taking… Yes!

After spending more than fifteen years in the corporate world, I took a leap of faith that changed my life. I left behind the familiar to pursue something that had always brought me joy—cooking.

At the time, the idea of a business dedicated to freshly prepared meals wasn’t common. There wasn’t a blueprint to follow or a proven model to copy. I simply believed there were people who wanted chef-prepared meals they could enjoy at home without the commitment of dining at a restaurant.

Looking back, I’d definitely call it a risk—but it was the happiest risk I’ve ever taken. Sixteen years later, I’m still doing what I love every day, creating meals that bring people together around the table. That’s a risk I’d take again in a heartbeat.
